The Parsec Awards (A Celebration of Speculative Fiction Podcasting) is an annual event held at the multi-media and popular culture convention, Dragon*Con. The Parsec Awards is a community sponsored award to recognize excellence in the field of Science Fiction and Fantasy produced for portable media. The categories this year include a variety of long and short format episodic programming of original stories, entertainment and information targeted at the world of speculative fiction.
This spring we are holding an auction to help support the awards by providing much needed financial support to cover publicity, award manufacture, printing and other production costs necessary to maintain the high standards established over the awards’ five year history. The awards continue thanks to generous donations by the podcasting community and sponsors.
Donations may be made to the auction starting now and through April 5th at which time the auction will begin. The auction will run on Ebay from April 5th through April 30th. Successful bidders will be notified by the auction organizers and delivery arrangements will be made.
Donations to the auction are not restricted to items related to speculative fiction and podcasting. When contacting the committee about your donation, please specify whether you will be willing to include shipping costs in the donation. Please submit your donation though our donor form below.
The Parsec Awards steering committee will be responsible for the organization and operation of the auction and proceeds will be held in account for the use of the awards committee. Donations in any form do not affect the outcome of the awards process.
