Every year the Parsec Awards Steering Committee relies on the podcasters and podcast listeners to nominate eligible podcasts for the Parsec Awards. This takes several forms such as word of mouth, Twitter, Facebook, mentions on podcasts, and promos. In order to ensure the message gets out, we need updated promos for 2013. This is where we humbly request your help.

The promo needs to include the following key points:

Parsec Awards: A Celebration of Speculative Fiction Podcasting

Parsec Nominations Open: April 1 to May 27, 2013

Website: www.parsecawards.com

Parsec Ceremony: at DragonCon

The promo should be 60 seconds or less and ideally funny and memorable. We will need to know if it is family friendly or not. The Steering Committee also will need to approve the promos before posting them to our web site.

We are not providing scripts, as we would like to leave the details to the creative experts. That being said, there’s a new Star Trek movie coming out, John Scalzi is finally continuing the Old Man’s War saga, Wil Wheaton was in a Super Bowl commercial, and there’s the whole JoCo/GLEE thing, if you need some inspiration.

We need the audio by March 1, please.

If you are willing and able to help, please let us know in the comments below and we’ll be in touch with where to send the file.
